Our Story

A universe built for

There have been many theories on the origin of the universe, often debated upon, still leaving questions unanswered. But this universe for young learners has been built, layered and positioned to ignite curiosity, promote passion and instill in them a love for learning. We proudly call it the Candela Universe. And in here, no questions are left unanswered; no answers are left unquestioned.

Candela Learnings is Asia's first experiential learning platform. Founded in 2019, with the primary goal of improving and changing the existing learning system based on rote learning and conventional methods, we built an entire universe for young learners — whom we lovingly call our Candles.

We believe that learning is experiencing. This universe has been built and designed to actualise the concept of experiential learning — where the method matters as much as the material.

The Candela Universe is an amalgamation of brilliant ideas and thought-provoking questions. Forever orbiting in the pursuit of academic excellence.

What We Believe

What exactly is experiential learning?

Experiential learning is a method revolving around direct experiences and hands-on activities. In simple words, it is learning through doing — rather than just listening to lectures, reading notes, and reproducing answers on exam paper.

Experiential learning involves active participation in an activity or project, reflecting on the experience, applying what was learned to future situations, and problem-solving.

This type of learning is far more effective than conventional methods, as it allows individuals to apply their knowledge and skills in a real-world setting — deepening their understanding and retaining information for longer. The lessons learnt through experiential learning are for life.
